Acupuncture: This is the technique used most common. With various wave forms and frequency, different results will be achieved, such as stoping pain, stimulating weak muscles for treating atrophy, etc. Chinese Herbal Medicine: Herbs are the most important part in the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine. They have been used for more than four thousands years. Through long term clinical practice, the Chinese gathered a lot of experience in the use of herbs. They can treat almost all the problems of the body. Nowadays, with the combination of Chinese herbs and western medicine, our wellbeing and general health are much better than before. Chinese herbs has close relation to our daily life. The use of Chinese herbs is still very new in the United States. Many people still do not feel comfortable to use Chinese herbs. There are different opinions and controversies. Chinese herbs still unknown to most people. Whenever there is a problem occuring in their body while they are taking herbs, the first thing to blame is Chinese herbs, but "Did the Herbs Cause That???" Many of the times it is definitely not. They work not as good as the bulk herb tea, but they are easy and can be customized as well. We also have more than 300 patent herbal pills, tablets or capsules. They are commonly used and they do not cost as much as the bulk herbs or granules. They usually recommended for those who need long term care, chronic conditions, constitutional supplements, etc. Tui-na (Chinese Therapeutic Massage) Tui-na, or Chinese Therapeutic Massage, is another important treatment method used in Chinese medical practice. It not only works on human physical body, but also improves the alertness of the mind. It includes some similar works adopted here by chiropractors when working on the spine. We work on the acupuncture points as well as on the muscles, ligaments and tendons. It is recommended for musculoskeletal problems, traumatic injuries, sprains, joint pains, panic attacks, insomnia, and much more. Moxibustion (Back to top) Moxa, or mugwort leaves, are used for moxibustion. By applying the ignited moxa stick or moxa cones over the acupuncture points, it can warm the meridians, strengthen Yang Qi, eliminate cold and dampness, promote the circulation of qi and blood, and so on. It is usually used for weakness, yang deficiency, qi deficiency, blood deficiency, cold or dampness invasion, pains from cold, stagnations, etc. Cupping Therapy Cupping is another therapy used in acupuncture practice. A vacuum is created by fire so that the cups can be placed on the skin area. By the suction of the cup, the local circulation of qi and blood will be improved. The pathogenic evils, such as wind, cold or dampness will be expelled. This therapy is commonly used for back and neck pains or tightness, shoulder or other joint pains, skin diseases, ect. Ultra-red Ray Irradiation A magic lamp, or TDP lamp will be used for ultra-red ray irradiation. Will the mineral plate effect and the heat of the lamp, this therapy is widely used for pains, yang and qi deficiencies, joint and digestive disorders, etc. It has some similar effects as moxibustion, but for more wider area. Ear, Scalp, Hand and Foot Acupuncture There are many micro-acupuncture systems in the body, including ear, scalp, hand, foot, wrist, ankle, face, second metacarpal bone, etc. There are specific points on this places which have special effects.
