Entertaiment | Merriam-Webster
A general word used to describe the activities of a person or group engaged in play, recreation, or amusement. It has a wide range of meanings, from the pleasure derived from watching a performance to the enjoyment of a banquet. Entertainment can involve the entire family and may include such varied activities as watching television, playing sports, attending concerts, or engaging in other sedentary leisure activities. Children’s entertainment is important for their growth as it prepares them for adult responsibilities, social interaction and child rearing (through dolls, pets and group games), or develops motor skills essential for music and sports.
