It can also be in the form of visual or tactile activities such as visiting art galleries and museums or creating or appreciating visual artworks. The word entertainment derives from the Latin entretener, meaning to hold together or entertain. It is closely associated with hospitality and entertainment for guests, which is why we still use the word entertain to this day when we speak of putting on a show or entertaining friends.
