Entertaiment is entertainment of any kind – from the personal pleasures of watching movies, TV or listening to music and to the social interaction provided by group games, sports or performances for thousands or even global audiences. Entertainment often provides subtle or direct commentaries on social, cultural, political or economic issues. A popular example is the story of Scheherazade, a famous narrative in the professional storytelling tradition that has inspired orchestral compositions by Rimsky-Korsakov, Ravel and Szymanowski; a film adaptation by Pasolini; and an innovative video game.
