Entertaiment
Articles
Entertaiment is a vast and varied field. It encompasses a huge array of familiar forms, from an individual who chooses a private entertainment from among the many available pre-recorded products; to banquets adapted for two; to celebrations or religious festivals intended for thousands; and from a single play written by Shakespeare to operas intended for global audiences. It is also a subject of continual development and innovation. Many of the familiar forms that we take for granted today are familiar only because they have been continuously remixed by new generations and media. These examples have been selected from corpora and online sources. They may not reflect current usage or the opinion of Merriam-Webster or its editors.
